Fine dining at Kinabuchs Restaurant

October 11, 2012
07:30- 09:30pm

Get together before 1st Semester ends

We are the first year students of the Hospitality Management from the Palawan State University, we plan to have a get together before the first semester ends. In many restaurant we list down, we decided to dine here at Kinabuch Bar and Grill Restaurant for many reason. We are going to list down and specify why we choose this restaurant to dine in.

Pre-dine

First of all the name Kinabuch comes from two words, Kina where it means at and Buch is the name of the owner so it would mean at Buch’s (e.g. where do you want to eat? at Buch’s!).

Our dining experience are great because of the factors that
restaurant compose of. Their décor is so simple even though the décor is simple, it looks so neat and nice. Their décor are made from woods. It makes the place look like country setting. The color of the ambiance was surrounded by brown and white. Brown because of the woods, and white because of the lightings. The décor is nice and enhance, it does not distract the customer getting in the restaurant.

The style looks so very pleasing because they have a big open bar where you can dine either inside or outside. In the entrance we notice their décor on their wall. “How can a motorbike stay on their wall”? Wow, obviously, a common sense, because there is a supporter to support that motorbike. But what in the world are you thinking posting a motorbike in a wall? It so unique.

The ambiance and the atmosphere was so pleasant. While waiting you can relax because of the great atmosphere, and have a big fan with small sprinkler so it makes moisture every time the fans is moving. It’s just that the place is not only for the tourist and rich people. But also the people like us that can afford the food they are serving. When you dine in here (Kinabuch Bar and Grill Restaurant) you will feel that you are like a tourist and a rich people, because they serve you with the same service they offer from the tourist, and you are dining with the tourist. And even though you are not a tourist, local people like us experience what are tourist are experiencing because of their nice service and comfortable place. Your dining experience will be complete.

While we are deciding what restaurant we are going to dine in, Kinabuch was top of our list. We list 3 restaurants. We chose Kinabuch because its location is near on our meeting place (Provincial Capitol). And it is my third time eating here so it’s not new to me, that’s why I recommend it to be in our list. But it is our first time to dine here as a group.

The style of the restaurant was so beautiful because it’s all operation fitted in one area. They have a parking lot inside there perimeter. Which had the advantage for the other restaurant that are near the road. They had a big projector that shows sports games. Also have a billiard area. And you can dine where ever you like inside and outside area.

Outside area

People come here to drink, play billiards, drink and trying out the Palawan delicacy, tamilok (wood worm) or crocodile meat. But we come here only to eat. And want to experience something that we didn’t done before.

Their service

Their staffs are nice and quick. They treat their customer very well. We feel to be like a tourist in one night.

The dish we pick is Bistek Tagalog. Because we want to try the difference of the beefsteak we it before. Bistek Tagalog is similar to beefsteak, but the taste of it was different. We decided to order one dish but this dish makes us satisfied and enough for all of us (group of six).

The dish we ordered was so delicious, and cooks so well, the sauce taste was so good, even all of us were done eating the dish, the left over sauce makes us order once again an another rice. The dish is not so salty and slight tender.

The food here was so affordable. You can budget your meal for 300/person minimum. It depends on the dish you are ordering with. But if you are budgeting your money. You came from the right place. Be sure to have a reservation or come early because sometimes they are almost full. So you will not wait for so long or change your mind to pick another restaurant.

The food is not only the main attractions here but also they serves entertainment like sports game viewing. So there is no time waste. And they serve very fast. You will not wait for so long. The ambiance, the décor, the service makes our dining experience complete. And we are so lucky that even we didn’t have a reservation theirs one space left for us (six people) that night.

Our entire experience was so memorable and unforgettable not just because it happens it sequence date 10/11/12. But because this is our first time to dine with each other in a fine restaurant. And so much blessed to experience this as a get together and bonding before the vacation. And our experience make us more eager to learn how to be a successful hospitality management student. This event happen to us is not only to experience the fine dining but to learn the every aspect of how to serve the people and customer. And the way to have bonding’s with each other as friends. we are highly recommend this restaurant as one of the finest restaurant we ever dine in.
